Additively Manufactured Lattice Structures: Design, Uncertainty Quantification and Validation

Özet : Lattice structures have a network of interconnected strut members which can be fabricated with the recent advancements in additive manufacturing (AM) techniques. Uncertainties, introduced by the AM processes to the fabricated strut members of lattice structures, influence the overall product performance resulting in inaccurate predictions of reality and increased complexity in the computational models. In this talk, a multi-level upscaling and validation framework, which is established to enable accurate estimation of the performance of AM-fabricated lattice structures under uncertainties, will be described. The applicability of the framework in lattice structures design without the use of expensive simulations and optimization processes will be demonstrated.
