Özet | Antalya Algebra Days is an annual meeting, held in Turkey since 1999. At least 100 people participate every year, including many graduate students from different universities of Turkey. With the participation of guests from abroad, the event serves as an international platform for exchanging ideas and establishing contacts. Each meeting has a focus: in 2014, for example, the focus was number theory; in 2015, group theory. However, regardless of the topic in focus, talks in all areas related to algebra (such as number theory, algebraic geometry, ring theory, module theory, and model theory) are given during every conference.

Workshop | Multiple Zeta Functions and Their Special Values

Tarihler | 15.06.2020 - 21.06.2020

Yer | Nesin Mathematics Village-Izmir

Alan | Number Theory | |||

Konular | Multiple Zeta Functions

Özet | The aim of this school is to study the theory of multiple zeta-functions. The theory of multiple zeta-functions has a long, rich history, from the 18th century, but the modern developments began in around 1990. The most fundamental multiple zeta-functions are of the Euler-Zagier type, and the special values of them (called MZVs) have close connections with various fields of mathematics (arithmetic geometry, knot theory, KZ-equations) and mathematical physics. Therefore the theory of Euler-Zagier multiple zeta-functions has been studied quite extensively in all over the world. Recently several Turkish mathematicians also have started the investigations on the theory of multiple zeta-functions. The organizers believe that now it is quite appropriate to arrange the school for the purpose of studying this fascinating research area. We expect that many young researchers and students in Turkey and neighboring countries will have great benefit from the school. We invite specialists from France, Germany and Japan. These are leading countries in the research of multiple zeta-functions. Each of invited lecturers will give a course of lectures, on algebraic, arithmetic, and analytic parts of the theory. The contents will not be restricted to the case of Euler-Zagier type. Since the theory of multiple zeta-functions has now been more and more extended, the lecturers will try to describe the present stage of the whole art, including the discussion of many other type of multiple zeta-functions such as their p-adic versions. Additionally, we will arrange the session of short communications of young participants. For the mathematicians in Turkey and surrounding countries, this school will give a nice occasion of discussing various problems in mathematics with foreign specialists.

Since the talks in the meetings covers almost all areas of mathematics, mathematics education and engineering mathematics, the conferences have been well attended by mathematicians from academia, ministry of education and engineers as well. The last five conferences have been held in Konya (ICMME-2019), Ordu (ICMME-2018), Şanlıurfa (ICMME-2017), Elazığ (ICMME-2016) and Niğde (2015). This year ICMME-2020 will be held at Amasya University in Amasya/Turkey on June 25-27, 2020 as an international conference. The main aim of this conference is to contribute to the development of mathematical sciences, mathematical education, and their applications and to bring together the members of the mathematics community, interdisciplinary researchers, educators, mathematicians, and statisticians from all over the world. The conference will present new results and future challenges, in series of invited and short talks, poster presentations, workshops, and exhibitions. The presentations can be done in English or Turkish. This conference is organized by MATDER-Association of Mathematicians and hosted by Amasya University. The MATDER Meetings with the objective of bringing together researchers, whether they are members of the network or not, whose work is related to algebra, geometry, discrete mathematics and mathematics education, as well as their possible applications
