The COGENT project, funded by the European Commission under the MSCA programme and UK Research and Innovation, is seeking PhD candidates in the fields of Geometry, Number Theory, Computational Mathematics, Algorithms, and Algebra. The project, focused on advancing cohomology, geometry, and explicit number theory, aims to solve long-standing conjectures in number theory and foster interdisciplinary knowledge exchange.

PhD positions are available for candidates to engage in cutting-edge research at the intersection of algebra, geometry, and computer science. The project also offers training in advanced computational skills, including machine learning and quantum computing, with potential industrial applications in areas such as cryptography and data analysis.
